From APEC HRDWG Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

The Labour and Social Protection Network focuses on fostering strong and flexible labour markets and strengthening social protection.  As part of this goal, the LSPN holds an annual Human Resource Development Forum in cooperation with the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and other partnering organizations.  These conferences bring together researchers, policy makers, and practitioners to discuss timely matters related to enhancing labour systems throughout the Asia-Pacific region, especially in the arena of Career and Technical Education.

The APEC Wiki contains materials from Forums dating back to 2005.  From 2005 to 2009, the Forum was jointly organized by the LSPN, the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare, and the Overseas Vocational Training Association.  In 2010, the Forum was organized by the LSPN, the Ministry, and the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship. In 2011, the Forum was organized by the LSPN, the Ministry, and Japan Vocational Ability Development Association.
