The mission of The Business Council of Fairfield County (formerly known as SACIA) is to be one of the nation's most respected and influential regional networks of business leaders, committed to strengthening the economic vitality of the region and the performance of its members through research-based public policy initiatives, information services, and network-building programs.

The Business Council is committed to improving the economic vitality of southwestern Connecticut through collaborative partnerships. They advocate for a positive business environment, work to ensure a quality business infrastructure, and create opportunities for diverse businesses to grow, develop, and locate within the region. The Business Council provides value to its member firms in three priority areas: Business Environment, Business Infrastructure, and Business Development.
