Project: English Voice Festival

We have done several projects, but in this opportunity, we are just going to talk about one, the best one. During two moths we worked to present the English Voice Festival (the unique in our area the town of San Miguel”). For that event, we prepared a very special lesson plan where we worked with a list of songs with all the students in the school to prepare the atmosphere.

We created a workshop just for the students who needed more support and at the same time we were talking with people to be judges (one British young student, an American young student, a Teacher of English and two singers), it was not easy, because it was for free, just to help the event. Then we were working in the stage and with Claudia Collipal who is a teacher of the specialty of Tourism to integrate their students in security and marketing. We also talked to Robinson Hernandez, the Physical Education teacher to be the announcer; with Lorena Acuña and Marcela Fuentes, cooking teachers from the cooking area to help with the food and drinks; With Elías Chandía to be in charge of the music audio and our principal gave us some medals and gifts for the winners and students. At the end we created an school activity. Then we made the decision to include all the school and not just some classes or students, because we wanted to change the image of the English in their minds.

That was briefly our project which we wanted to share with you. Now please visit this video about the Festival which was created by José Barriga, the History teacher in our school.
