United States-Korea Bilateral Seminar on Turnaround Schools
From APEC HRDWG Wiki
Addressing significant challenges in establishing inclusive growth through equity in education is one of the principal concerns for the Education Network. As such, APEC Economies continue to examine promising practices to provide all students with quality education to prepare them for the challenges of higher education and the 21st century workforce.
In the pursuit of knowledge sharing to support equity and quality education for all schools in their respective economies, representatives from Korea and the United States met in Seoul, Korea from 24-25 May 2012 to discuss promising practices in turning around low performing schools. The seminar included presentations and research from academic experts, practitioners, and policymakers, and included a visit to local Toegyewon High School to witness innovation in action.
